OTP for MFA
If you have asked for Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to be enabled on your Strata site your users will be prompted to enter a One-Time Password in addition to their email mail and password.
To use one time passwords (OTPs) as an authentication factor, users need an Authenticator app installed on their mobile device such as:
- Microsoft Authenticator (Google Play / App Store)
- Google Authenticator (Google Play / App Store)
- Authy (Google Play / App Store)
- Auth0 Guardian (Google Play / App Store
When users log in to Strata for the first time they will be presented with the screen below. They need to open their authenticator app on their mobile device, for example for the Microsoft Authenticator app they would install and open the app, select to allow notifications (if prompted), select Add account from the Customize and control icon on the upper-right, and then select Work or school account. Then they will scan the QR code shown to create a MFA account for Strata on the Authenticator app (the account will appear as 'Orbital Software').

Afterwards, when they next log in to Strata, the user can simply check the authenticator app for the current one-time code and enter at the prompt:
