Enrolments continuing in R13 or R14 ILRs

Behaviour: Enrolments which are continuing in August or later and in your R13 or R14 returns are assumed to complete at some point in the next academic year. Therefore they will be reported as having Hybrid End Year against that next academic year due to the expected end date.

The reason for rolling continuing enrolments into the next Hybrid End Year is based on user request.  Several colleges wanted to see their position for R14 early, to gain a better insight as to what the next published QAR would look like. They said in most cases if the completions and / or achievements were not in the ILR by R13 then it could be assumed that the learners would complete in the next academic year and thus roll over into the next hybrid end year.  So when you import your R13 or R14, any enrolments without an actual end date will automatically shift into the next hybrid end year unless you update them as Completers (with an actual end date before 31st July) in your R13 or R14.

For example, consider the two enrolments below. The first row shows that the continuer is an assumed 22/23 completer and hence Strata will show them as Hybrid End Year = 22/23. Whereas the second row has completed and in fact did so before August and thus is shown as HY = 21/22 accordingly.
